Today, DSB's Board of Directors' appointed acting chief executive officer Søren Eriksen chief executive officer for DSB.

Following late chief executive officer Keld Sengeløv's death in September 2006, DSB Board of Directors, in cooperation with a search firm, initiated a comprehensive analysis of DSB's organisation while at the same time searching for a new chief executive officer.

DSB's possible conversion to a limited company and subsequent privatisation are high on the agenda and it was decisive to ensure that DSB is able to meet these challenges.

"Based both on the search process, which included a number of qualified external candidates, and on the particular challenges, which face DSB, the Board of Directors decided that Søren Eriksen would be the best candidate to be in charge of these considerable changes, says Chairman of the Board of Directors Mogens Granborg, and he continues

"Not least in the light of the achievements which Søren Eriksen has already made in the past six months, I am convinced that Søren will be able to meet the major challenges which face DSB in connection with the privatisation, upcoming tenders and the need to improve customer satisfaction".

DSB's chief executive officer Søren Eriksen (38 years) was appointed Group Director at DSB in 2002. His responsibilities included finance, accounting, HR, IT and DSB's international activities. Søren Eriksen came from a position as finance director at TDC Tele Danmark A/S.
