General terms and conditions for the use of DSB Plus
Version 10. Valid from 2/12 2024
The following terms and conditions apply to the use of DSB Plus. DSB Plus is owned by DSB, Company Reg. No. 25 05 00 53. By visiting and using DSB Plus, you accept the present terms and conditions.
1. General information about DSB
DSB Plus is a digital platform for customers where you can view your purchase transactions and subscribe to various services. For example, you can subscribe to communication from DSB and obtain benefits from DSB and DSB’s partners. A list of current benefits and partners. Your benefits are activated in DSB's app
2. Create a DSB Plus profile
To access DSB Plus, you need to create a DSB Plus profile. There is no charge for creating a DSB Plus profile.
If you sign up for communication from DSB Plus, you will receive access to all the benefits. If you do not sign up for communication from DSB Plus, you will only have access to a limited selection. Benefits you have access to with and without subscribing.
You must be at least 12 years of age to create a DSB Plus profile.
You must be at least 15 years of age to sign up for communication from DSB for yourself.
You can delete your DSB Plus profile and/or unsubscribe from communication with DSB at any time.
3. DSB Family
With a DSB Plus profile, you can create a DSB Family, which allows you to link multiple members. This enables other members of the DSB Family to use DSB’s products and services. Read more about DSB Family here. To create and manage a DSB Family, you must be over 18 years old. All members of the DSB Family must have a DSB Plus profile.
4. Your page on DSB Plus
When you create a DSB Plus profile, you will be given a personal page on dsb.dk/plus. You can then long onto this page using your email address and a password of your choice. On your page, you can view and update your personal data. We recommend that you keep your profile up-to-date. You are personally responsible for keeping your password confidential from non-authorised persons.
You can use your personal page to view a list of all the ticket purchases you have made after logging into dsb.dk.
5. Liability
The information on DSB Plus is published without any express or implicit guarantee of accuracy or comprehensiveness. In addition, DSB is entitled to change the content of DSB Plus at any time and without notice.
If there are links to other websites, DSB accepts no liability whatsoever for the content of the site or page to which the link leads.
Nor does DSB accept any liability for any damages or losses that be incurred through the use of DSB Plus.
6. Abuse
If DSB becomes aware that you are abusing DSB Plus or failing to comply with the present terms and conditions, DSB reserves the right to close your profile and exclude you from using DSB Plus in the future.
7. Personal Data
Since the use of DSB Plus entails the collection and processing of a variety of information which it may be possible to attribute to you, DSB is subject to a range of obligations regarding you in its capacity of Data Controller, and you have a series of rights. DSB may process the following information as a part of your use of DSB Plus:
Profile information
DSB always processes the personal information you enter yourself in connection with the creation of your profile. As a minimum, the data we process comprise your name, date of birth, email address and phone number. If you have entered them, we will also process your phone number, address and travel habits.
- The purpose of this processing is to administrate your membership and give you the opportunity to subscribe for various services.
- Name and date of birth are also used when purchasing Commuter Cards and using Check in with the DSB's app. Your date of birth determines your customer type, for example child, young, adult, pensioner.
- The legal basis is Section 6, article 1(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Emails from DSB Plus
If you receive communication containing offers from DSB Plus or service messages containing traffic information and the like, we process information about which emails you open and about the links they include that you click.
- The purpose is for the compilation of statistics and to target our communication with you – thus ensuring that you receive relevant offers.
- The legal basis is Section 6, articles 1(a) and 1(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Ticket purchases
If you purchase tickets via the DSB webshop or the DSB's app while you are logged in with your DSB Plus profile, we process information about the tickets you purchased.
- The purpose is to be able to send you relevant traffic information and to provide you with a platform where you can retrieve information about the tickets you have purchased.
- If you have subscribed for communication from DSB Plus, the purpose is additionally to help us target our communication with you – and thus ensure that you receive relevant offers.
- The legal basis is Section 6, articles 1(b) and 1(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Use of the DSB's app
If you use the DSB's app while you are logged in with your DSB Plus profile, we process information about your use of the app, as well as information about your device’s operating system and the unique number linked to the app version in connection with installation. We process additional information about which bonus and benefit coupons you activate
- The purpose is to enable you to activate and display coupons in DSB's app.
- The purpose is also to correct errors and optimize the app, as well as to target our communication if you have subscribed to communication from DSB
- In case of concrete suspicion of abuse of the DSB's app, the information may be used for investigations of possible irregularities. The purpose is to prevent and detect irregularities.
- The legal basis is Section 6, articles 1(b) and 1(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Upon logging into the DSB's app, you agree that a number of cookies will be temporarily placed while you log in. These are strictly necessary technical cookies, and we use as few cookies as possible. You can see which cookies are involved here.
Use of DSB.dk
If you use DSB.dk while you are logged in with your DSB Plus profile, and if you have subscribed for communication from DSB Plus and accepted our marketing cookies, we process information about which pages you visit on dsb.dk and which products and journeys you click. When you are using dsb.dk, our cookie policy applies in addition to the present terms and conditions.
- The purpose is to allow us to target our communication with you – thus ensuring that you receive relevant offers.
- The legal basis is Section 6, article 1(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Personal communication
If you have signed up for communication from DSB Plus, your email address and phone number will be shared in hashed (pseudonymized) form with DSB's advertising partners to ensure you receive personal communication. Your email address is not stored with the advertising partner if you do not have a profile there.
- The purpose is to target our communication to you – and thus ensure that you receive relevant offers.
- The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
“Forgotten cards”
If you subscribe for the “Forgotten cards” service, we process information about your commuter card number and your civil registration number (CPR no.).
- The purpose is to allow us to administrate the “Forgotten cards” scheme.
- The legal basis is Section 6, article 1(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Calls from DSB Plus
If you receive calls from DSB Plus with offers, customer surveys or service messages, we process information about the call and any information you have provided in connection with this.
- The purpose is to carry out customer surveys and provide you with relevant offers and information.
- The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Storage time
Information about your ticket purchases is deleted three (3) years after the expiry of the ticket in question. However, for ticket purchases in the app, see the “General terms and conditions for the DSB's app”. Information about your interaction with newsletters is deleted three (3) years after distribution of the newsletter. Information about the activation of coupons in DSB's app is deleted after 3 years
If you terminate your membership of DSB Plus, all information about you is deleted no later than six (6) months after you deregistered. If you unsubscribe from a service in DSB Plus, the information you registered to enable DSB to provide the service will be deleted six (6) months after you unsubscribed from the service.
Data processing and privacy policy
DSB continuously updates your master data through the services of an external supplier, and by forwarding your information to the Central Office of Civil Registration (CPR).
Information that is collected and processed by DSB, is processed in part by DSB itself and in part by DSB’s data processors. DSB employs data processors in third countries, i.e. countries outside the EU/EEA. DSB’s third country data processors are listed in DSB’s privacy policy.
8. Changes to terms and conditions
DSB is entitled to revise the present terms and conditions at any time. DSB reserves the right, at is own discretion and without notice, to remove information from DSB Plus, and to discontinue DSB Plus.
