1. Seat Reservation
A Seat Reservation entitles you to a specific seat on the train. Therefore, in addition to the Seat Reservation, you must purchase a ticket for the actual journey either separately or at the same time as the Seat Reservation. This also means that a Seat Reservation for DSB 1' does not automatically grant access to the DSB 1' class compartment without a DSB 1' card or ticket.
1.1 Validity
A Seat Reservation is only valid on the chosen day, at the selected time, and for the designated carriage and seat as printed on it. The specified seat should be taken immediately after boarding the train; otherwise, it may be assigned to another passenger.
1.2 Availability
You have the option to purchase a seat reservation when traveling with InterCity, InterCityLyn, Lyn+ and on some regional trains, but on most regional trains it is not possible to buy a seat reservation.
1.2.1 Special conditions, when travelling to Bornholm
Seat reservations are not sold for Øresund trains or the Swedish Pågatåg from Malmö to Ystad. Therefore, you cannot reserve space for bicycles, strollers, and wheelchairs on Øresund trains and Pågatåg. Consequently, it cannot be guaranteed that there will be space available for them on all train departures.
1.3 Refund
A Seat Reservation can be refunded until the day before the departure date.
When you purchase multiple tickets at once, you can only get them refunded together.
1.3.1 If you have bought you Seat Reservation alongside with a ticket
If you have purchased a ticket and Seat Reservation in the same transaction, then the refund rules for the actual ticket apply.
- If you have purchased a single or zone ticket
- If you have purchased an Orange ticket
- If you have purchased an Orange Fri ticket

If you have a Commuter Card, Youth Card, or Pendler20, you are eligible to purchase Seat Reservations at a reduced price – also known as a Commuter Seat.

You must always present your valid commuter card for the chosen route along with your Commuter Seat Reservation.

2.3 Refund
A Commuter Seat Reservation can be refunded up until the day before the departure date.
3. Reservation for your bicycle
If you need to take your bicycle on an InterCity, InterCityLyn, Lyn+ or regional train, you must purchase a Bike Reservation. The Bike Reservation covers both the bicycle's travel and access to space. A Bike Reservation is only valid on the chosen day, at the selected time, and for the designated carriage and space as printed on it. The specified space should be taken immediately after boarding the train; otherwise, it may be assigned to another.
